We're off

Day 1
Meant to have a really early start, but got a bit side-tracked- including a detour to JCB to pick up my charging wires which I had accidentally put into Andy’s rucksack, not ours before he left for work! Then a rather long winded trek to the A38 and on down to Winchester. Weather pretty glum ☹️. But, Winchester was lovely. Had a good lunch outside, then followed the self guided walk around the town. Very attractive town. Lot wealthier than up north with plenty of well dressed lady lunchers. Then on to the ferry terminal....very long waiting times before we got onto the boat, but we eventually got underway. Had tea, listened to some very mediocre entertainment before finding our spot in the small couchette lounge. Very pleased we’ve got a cabin on the way back!
Day 2
Woke to beautiful ☀️ and calm seas....and lots of 🐬 riding the bow of the 🚢 while we ate breakfast.
Looking forward to sunning ourselves on deck and just chilling before we arrive in Santander. Booked into a modest hotel for 1night near to the port as we arrive at about 7 pm. Tea out, wander along the front, before a good night's rest....then off we go. Burgos, then Salamanca.
